Obesity is a problem in Chile and Latin America: In our country, more than 50% of 10-year-old children are already obese or overweight. We have regulations, but what have we done to access the imagination of children with a healthy and fun messages? Thus, in 2017, we created the concept “nutritious music” with Los Frutantes to help change this reality. What the children see are fruits and vegetables playing instruments and using rock, punk, funk, cumbia, etc. They deliver a healthy message. However, the financing of musicians and actors was a problem. That is why we created a financing model, so that the project could apply for public or private funds. Today we have 2 national music awards, more than 50,000 followers; 2 thousand listeners, a space on TV and every day fathers and mothers thank us because their children now want to eat vegetables!
