Local Labs – Innovating Local Communities

2022 Collaboration & Communication English Organisational Culture & Governance Participation & Engagement

The session showcases the Local Labs. Local Labs are designed to unlock local potential and create tangible solutions. A diverse team of local change makers goes through a tested five step process to shift from a challenge to a solution in two days. In November 2021, 18 teams from Europe and the Mena region participated simultaneously while being supported by local mentors and international best practice owners.

Graham Wetherall–Grujić is an editor and translator living in Vienna. He was the moderator of the Local Labs in November 2021.

Claire Clifford

Communications Manager/ Innovation in Politics Institute

Claire Clifford is Communications Manager at the Innovation in Politics Institute and supported the communication work of the 2021 Local Labs.

Gianluca Gaetano

Deputy Mayor/ Municipality of San Ferdinando RC Italy

Gianluca was born in 1970, left Calabria at 18 to study economics in Siena and then got an MBA at Bologna University.
He is passionate about politics since he was a boy and has taken on a direct commitment since 2016 as deputy mayor of San Ferdinando with the aim to make his town a nice place to live in, in order to develop the quality of life, to promote the economic growth and to create a knowledge environment especially for young people.
He worked as specialist for big companies listed at Milan Stock Exchange and was a teacher of Organizational Behaviour at the faculty of Economics of Bologna University
