Social Innovation Factory accelerates social innovation in Flanders (Belgium) since 2013, together with a growing network of innovators and enablers from different corners of society, including governmental agencies, like Flanders Tourism. The Network “Everybody Deserves a Holiday” is a network of organisations has been supporting and is a public-private collaboration since 2001, to stimulate people in poverty to participate in tourism in Flanders. During this session, we will describe the Network “Everybody Deserves a Holiday” more in detail: what are the different key roles that the public and private stakeholders (can) play, what is considered as ‘key’ in practise, how to keep the focus on innovation to tackle the societal issue, and how public-private collaboration evolves during the years. We will also share the most recent insights and ambitions of an ESF-funded project, called ‘HUBSI’ (‘Hub for Social Innovation’), where SIF as a social profit organisation and ESF Flanders as public body aim to co-create a more effective supporting ecosystem to support and scale social innovation in Belgium. So anyone who’s interested working together with different stakeholders to boost public-private collaboration for the sake of social innovation: you are very welcome to join the session, and share you insights (afterwards).
