2023 English Equality & Equity Participation & Engagement

The project HÁ CULTURA | CULTURE FOR ALL is a project of participatory artistic practices for social inclusion within drama, circus, music, architecture, visual arts, dance, promoted by the Municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão, North Portugal, and co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) under the axis of “Social Inclusion and Poverty”. In total the project developed 17 projects of artistic co-creation methodology, during 2021-2022, working in total with 13 artistic entities – 9 of which are locally based – 129 local social and cultural associations, and circa 800 active participants, of which 50% from vulnerable groups of the community.

Cultural Consultant at Strategic Planning Department / Municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão

Daniela Tomaz (Arch./Musician) is Cultural Consultant at the Strategic Planning Department of the Municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão since 2018, responsible for several funding grant projects, e.g. codesigning and implementing the participatory artistic practices project “HÁ CULTURA | CULTURE FOR ALL”, through the European Social Fund (2020-2022) and coordinating the funding grant application for the Municipal Theatre 2022-2025 Plan “Casa das Artes de Famalicão”, within the scope of the Portuguese Network of Theatres. Within the Municipality, she also supports cultural programming of the new blackbox theatre “Teatro Narciso Ferreira”, in a decentralized area of the territory, since its opening in 2021.

Daniela holds a MA degree in Architecture from the University of Porto (2005) and is Bachelor of Early Music at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, the Netherlands (2012), still active on historically informed practice and artistic direction at the NGO O Corvo e a Raposa, Vila do Bispo.
