Inspired by the vision of state institutions meeting people’s needs, she founded PublicLegalDesign, a platform aimed at driving legal innovation and transformative change. Her journey is characterized by her unwavering commitment to designing legal systems that are accessible to everyone. In her past roles, Rojda spearheaded the redesign of policy design under the auspices of the German Chancellery, introducing the PublicLegalDesign methodology and embedding people-centered approaches and co-creation in development work. Notably through her recent projects with German Federal Ministries and the United Nations, her efforts supported lawmaking by enriching public servants with a PublicLegalDesign toolkit, encouraged greater public engagement in the legislative process, and improved accessibility to legal services and documents. Rojda’s dedication extends beyond legal and system innovation. As a co-founder of “Bundeskonferenz der Migrant*innenorganisationen” and several other NGOs on social cohesion and equity, she has advocated for social justice and diversity and inclusion.
