Creative Bureaucrats don’t think in silos or subject fields, nor are they limited to working within sectors. They build bridges wherever needed to mobilise different actors behind common missions. Making this work means cutting the jargon: no ‘insider talk’ – rather simple, empathetic straight-talking and an eye for good design that’s accessible for all.
- The arms race of jargon: Better communication for better decision-making (Tue, 14 Sep, 11:30-11:55): How is research communicated and translated into widely understood policy that public administrators can describe to the widest audiences – the citizens? The session explores how unless we cut the jargon and start building trust with clearer communication we will be in deep trouble.
