Dear friends of the Creative Bureaucracy Festival,
The Creative Bureaucracy Festival is still alive and kicking! 👋 It’s been a whirlwind-like couple of months for us. Now it’s time for an update.
🏡 The Creative Bureaucracy Festival has a new home! After two years with the Tagesspiegel publishing house, we now share a roof with the Falling Walls Foundation since March – but promptly had to swap our new offices for three months of “work from home”.
🎉 We are all the more excited to be able to announce: The Creative Bureaucracy Festival 2020 is happening! In light of the pandemic, this was far from certain for a long time. After all, what could a festival look like in the times of Covid-19? Our answer: Most definitely different than in previous years, more condensed and at the same time spread out over five days.
From 28 September to 02 October 2020, we will offer you a program packed with bureaucratic imagination. You can – and you should! – register for the festival right away.
More information about the festival will follow soon via the newsletter and on our website.
🤝 All this is possible not least due to the support of our new festival partner: PD – the public sector’s consulting agency. During the festival, PD will contribute to our program with regard to a variety of different topics – from new work to public sector digitization. You can find more information on this here. We were also able to win the Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS, the European Network of Living Labs (ENOLL), the Danish Design Centre, the Swedish Innovation Agency Sitra, Politics for Tomorrow und the OECD as our network and programme partners and are looking forward to the cooperation this year! Please find a current status of this year’s partnerships here.
Attention: Have you been a network or program partner of the Creative Bureaucracy Festival in previous years and would want to continue the cooperation? We have not been able to catch up with everyone yet, so please dop get in touch with us and let us discuss how to continue working together!
An Open Call to the Creative Industry
📣 We are looking for projects and initiatives through which people from the creative industries have driven innovation and introduced new ideas in the public sector. For that reason, we have published an open call with the European Creative Business Network. More on this here.
And what’s next?
There is a lot going on and a lot getting under way. We’re hoping that in our next newsletter we’ll be able to tell you about some progress on the festival programme as well as the following highlights:
🔜 Margie Caust, co-author of „The Creative Bureaucracy and Its Radical Common Sense“, is currently working on a global survey of public sector employees.🔜 The Creative Bureaucracy Festival is receiving a visual makeover! Starting in August, we will come to you in new colors (spoiler alert: in a serious blue and a flamboyant green) and will launch our new, dashing website.
Stay tuned and stay creative! 💡
